Privacy, in plain language.

1. Scope

This notice applies to OneCart’s customer website and delivery service. OneCart is a family-owned delivery business based in Elliot Lake, Ontario.

The separate Driver App Privacy Notice applies to information used in the OneCart Driver app.

2. Information we handle

We collect information you provide when you place or discuss an order, contact us, track a delivery, or check rewards. This may include:

• your name, phone number, and optional email address;
• your delivery address and any access instructions;
• the restaurant or store, items requested, pickup information, and order notes;
• delivery status, reward progress, delivery fees, and payment choice where needed for the transaction; and
• messages or support information you send by phone, text, email, Facebook, Instagram, or the website.

Our website also receives ordinary technical information needed to operate securely, such as request time, browser information, network address, and error or security events.

3. How we use information

OneCart uses customer information to:

• confirm, shop for, pick up, deliver, and support orders;
• provide delivery updates and order tracking;
• maintain OneCart Rewards and apply earned rewards;
• respond to questions, correct records, and resolve concerns;
• keep reliable business and transaction records; and
• protect customers, drivers, staff, and the website from fraud or misuse.

OneCart does not sell customer personal information.

4. Service providers and sharing

Customer information is available only to OneCart staff and drivers who need it to coordinate or complete a delivery, provide support, or protect the service.

We also use service providers to operate OneCart, including Cloudflare for website hosting and database services, Resend for email delivery, Shipday for delivery coordination, and Meta for website measurement. These providers handle information under their own service and privacy terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect someone’s safety, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

5. Website analytics and advertising technology

On regular website pages, OneCart uses the Meta Pixel to record events such as a page visit or a completed order request. Meta may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to receive browser, device, page, and interaction information for measurement and advertising services.

OneCart does not deliberately send your delivery address, order contents, or contact form details to Meta through the Pixel. Meta’s handling of information is explained in the Meta Privacy Policy.

You can use browser privacy controls and Meta’s Ad Preferences to manage advertising choices. The privacy page you are reading does not load the Meta Pixel.

6. Retention and security

OneCart keeps customer and transaction records only for as long as reasonably needed to complete deliveries, operate rewards, provide support, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and protect the service.

We use access controls, encrypted connections, restricted staff tools, and other safeguards appropriate to a small delivery business. No method can guarantee absolute security, so we also limit collection and access to information the service needs.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask OneCart to explain, access, or correct your personal information, subject to legal, security, and record-keeping requirements. You can also ask questions about how information has been used or shared.

You can limit website tracking through browser settings and the advertising controls linked above. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from contacting OneCart or requesting a delivery.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our website, delivery service, or service providers change. The effective date above will change when a material update is published.
